Rainforest Bakery is set to change the allergen-free offering as we know it. Working with industry-leading suppliers, consultants and more, we are setting the global benchmark for allergen-free food production.
We are looking for a new person to take on the critical role as Head of Production, who will be responsible for orchestrating the set up of our brand new commercial bakery, as well as managing the team running our production lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting up our brand new production line - you will work directly with our CEO, Head of Food Technology, equipment manufacturers and industry consultants to plan, install and run a near fully-automated, multi-product manufacturing line.
- Recruiting and managing all production line operatives.
- Raw material management and tracking.
- Lead on production quality control, ensuring that high standards are set and maintained.
- First point-of-contact for all issues related to the production line.
- Working with the Head of Health and Safety to produce factory procedures.
Key Skill we are looking for include:
- Substantial experience working on an automated production line, covering automated storage and dosing, moulding, makeup, proofing, baking, packaging and more.
- Experience working on gluten-free doughs would be a competitive advantage, though not mandatory.
- Experience managing and motivating a team on an ongoing basis.
- We implement a zero-risk approach to Health and Safety, and so following all procedures will be critical to ensuring a safe working environment around heavy machinery.
